| 1-1. Scan the QR code attached to the eSIM package to access the【JP SMART SIM】 dedicated page. | 1-2. If you already have an account, log in with your registered email address and password. | 1-3. If you do not have an account, press the【Sign up】 button, enter your information, then click【Sign up】 to create a new account. |
Once an activation code is issued, the eSIM will be activated and the countdown of the validation period of the plan will begin.
The step below must be completed on your desired start date of use.

2. Issue an Activation Code

| 2-1. To issue the activation code, you need to enter the EID of the device you want to use the eSIM on. Check the EID of your device by following the instructions below. | 2-2. Check the Notices and confirm issuing the activation code. |

| 2-3. The activation code issuance application is complete. You will be notified that the eSIM can be installed on the device which has the EID you entered. | ||
Check the EID of your device by following the instructions below.
・For iOS devices (iPhone・iPad)
① Go to【Settings】.
② Tap【General】.
③ Tap【About】.
④ Here you can confirm the【EID】of your device. Tap and hold on the EID number to copy it.
・For Android devices
① Go to【Settings】.
② Tap【About Phone】.
③ Tap【Status】or【SIM information】.
④ Check EID.

3.1 Install eSIM and Setup APN (iOS)
After the activation code has been issued, install the eSIM and complete the APN setting on your device by following the instructions below.
<Install the eSIM>
3.1-1. Connect to the internet and then tap【Settings】 on the home screen.
3.1-2. Tap【Set up Cellular】.
3.1-3. Tap【Activate eSIM】→【Continue】→【Mobile settings complete】 →【Done】
3.1-4. Select the default SIM for each function for your device according to your preference and complete the eSIM settings.
＜APN settings＞
3.1-5. Connect your device to the internet and download the APN configuration profile by accessing the URL below.

3.1-6. From the home screen, tap【Settings】→【Profile Downloaded】
3.1-7. Tap【VPN & Device Mangement】→ profile【NEW JP MOBILE】→【Install】.
3.1-8. When the【Consent】screen appears, tap【Next】 →【Install】 →【Install】.
3.1-9. Tap【Done】and reset your device.
The setup is complete. Enjoy the Internet!

3.2 Install eSIM and Setup APN (Android)
After the activation code has been issued, install the eSIM and complete the APN setting on your device by following the instructions below.
<Install the eSIM>
3.2-1. Connect to the internet and then tap【Settings】 on the home screen.
3.2-2. Tap【Set up your docomo eSIM】.
3.2-3. Tap【Settings】.
3.2-4. When the【Choose a number to use】screen appears, tap the phone number you want to select and complete the eSIM settings.
＜APN settings＞
3.2-5. Tap the downloaded eSIM from【SIM card & mobile data】
3.2-6. Click【Access point names】and when the APN screen appears, click【+】 on the upper right.
3.2-7. Enter the following APN information in the appropriate fields and click【Save】in the upper right corner when finished.
≪APN information≫
| Name： | Enter any name (e.g. dxhub) |
| APN： | jpsim.me |
| Username（ID）： | jps@jps |
| Password （PW）： | 888 |
| Authentication type： | PAP / CHAP |
3.2-8. Make sure the saved APN is selected.
3.2-9. After the APN settings are complete, restart your device.
The setup is complete. Enjoy the Internet!

※1. If you are unable to use the service even after following the steps above, please turn on "Data Roaming
※2. If you are unable to install the eSIM, please restart your smartphone (turn it off and then on) and scan the activation QR code again or enter the activation code manually.
※3. It is confirmed that after installing the eSIM on iOS devices, you can usually connect to the Internet without setting up an APN configuration profile.
