1. I have applied for a new eSIM. How do I set it up? (New/MNP)

Follow the steps below to activate and set up your eSIM.

Note:
- Wi-Fi connection is required to activate and set up your eSIM.
- Please be sure to complete the setup "within 3 months" of your application.
- If you do not complete the setup within 3 months of your application, your application will be canceled and you will not be able to activate your eSIM.

- Please be sure to complete the setup during the following hours.

<STEP 1> Issue the eSIM Profile

1. After the initial fee payment and application review have been completed, you will receive an "eSIM Activation Link"  for setup via email or postal mail.

2. Access the "eSIM Activation Link" using one of the following methods.

● Access via the "eSIM Activation Link" in the email.
● Scan the QR code on the back of the "eSIM Start Guide."

● By Email You will receive an email with the following title.  *The wording may vary slightly depending on the language. [Important - Application Review Checked eSIM Setup Guide] JP SMART SIM	● By Postal Mail You will receive the "eSIM Start Guide" via postal mail.  (It will arrive within 1-2 days after the application review has been completed.)

3. Log in with your registered "email address" and "password."	4. Check your application information and, if there is mistake, click [Proceed to eSIM Issuance].

[For MNP] Please check that your "MNP Information" has not expired. If it has expired, you will not be able to activate your eSIM. If it has expired, please obtain a new MNP reservation number and update your new "MNP Reservation Number" and "Expiration Date" using the [Change MNP Information] button. *Click here to learn how to obtain an MNP reservation number.

5. Enter the "EID" of the device you will use the eSIM on and click [Issuing an eSIM]. *The eSIM cannot be used on a device with an EID that does not match the one entered here, so please make sure to enter it correctly. *For MNP, you cannot proceed to the next screen outside of 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM Japan Time. Please try again during these hours. *Click here to find out how to check your device`s EID.

6. Confirm the details and press [Issue]. *Pressing [Issue] will activate your eSIM and initiate your contract. *For MNP, your current SIM will become unusable at this point.

7. When this screen appears, the issuance of your "eSIM profile" is complete. Proceed to "Activate Your eSIM."
