PREPARATION
- Valid passport (valid for more than 30 days)
- Compatible devices: International edition smartphones, unlocked carrier phones. Or Docomo's sim-lock version smartphones (which can only use Docomo SIMs)

Please notice that pick-up is only available at the following airport
・Narita T1 airport (OPEN: 10am-6pm）
・Haneda Airport T3 - JTB Meeting Counter （OPEN:10am - 8pm）
※For arrivals at Narita T2, please transfer to T1 to pick up your package by using the airport-free shuttle bus.For details about the free shuttle bus, see here.
If your device is au or Softbank locked, you will need to unlock your device or upgrade it to the international version. Please go to the carrier's stores to have your phone unlocked/upgraded to the international version in order to use our SIM. Please note that JP SMART SIM does not support dual SIM (using 2 sims on 1 device).
HOW TO APPLY
STEP 1.1: SELECT SIM PLAN
・Go to our JP SMART SIM Home page JP SMART SIM
・Then click on the APPLY NOW button to access the Application Form.
・After clicking the button, the following online Application form will be displayed.
・In this section, please choose the plan suitable for your needs. Click here to learn more about the difference between CALL SIM, DATA SIM, and DATA + 050 SIM plan.
STEP 1.2: SELECT PICK-UP LOCATION
If you apply from overseas, select [ At Airport ].
STEP 1.3: MY PAGE ACCOUNT REGISTRATION
・Next, input a valid email address and create a password for the JP SMART SIM user account.
NOTE: The input email address will become your user ID, so you need to enter a real e-mail address to receive important contract information and billing details, as well as change registered personal information if necessary while using the service. It is not possible to use the same email address twice.
・When you have completed the 2 fields, please click the red box [I agree with the above and register my account] to proceed to Step 2.
STEP 2: INPUT REGISTRATION DETAILS
At this step, you need to input the personal information required to form the contract.
STEP 3: REGISTER YOUR ADDRESS
Input your current address in roman alphabet characters.
STEP 4: UPLOAD THE IDENTITY VERIFICATION DOCUMENTS
For photos of identity verification documents, you can choose to upload your photo of『Passport』 first page by clicking on the [Choose File] box.
NOTE: Uploaded『Passport』photo is required to be the front page, containing your information and portrait (not your visa page).
※ 050 Voice Call Plan requires a residence card (Valid for more than 30 days, current address registered).
STEP 5: INPUT CREDIT CARD INFORMATION
If you apply from overseas, only a credit card is accepted to pay.
However, if you apply at an overseas partner shop, you can make an initial payment in your home currency on the spot and also choose the following payment method for the monthly fee.
・Convenience Store
・Credit Cards
・DirectDebit（only Japanese bank is available）
・Paycards（WeChat, AliPay, UnionPay pay cards）
NOTE:
- Bank transfer payments using cash cards are not available.
- When entering your credit card information for the name of the cardholder, all letters have to be CAPITALIZED, and please delete the space between your first and middle names.
e.g., Your full name is BENARD ALEXANDER LEE. Please delete the space and input like the following:
・Last Name: LEE
・First Name: BENARDALEXANDER
・Phone number: Please input a valid number (The international number is acceptable with country code) ・Security code (3-4 digit number)
-Visa, JCB, MasterCard: 3 numbers in the back.
-American Express: 4 numbers in the front.
STEP 6: CONFIRM CUSTOMER INFORMATION
・Please check to see whether all the information you provided is correct.
If there are any errors, please click on each item to correct it.

・At the same time, you can also confirm the initial payment to complete your application as below:
*The monthly basic plan fees of the first month are free according to the promotion

If you apply for a SIM card on January 20th, and receive it on February 5th at the airport,
Your initial payment by credit card when you apply is as follows:
①Administration fee: 3,300 yen (tax included)
②Monthly data basic fee for March
So, your next monthly bill for April ( + call charges for February if you have one) will be on March 25th.
・After confirming that all information is correct, please scroll down to the bottom of the page and read the [Important Notice before Usage] and [Contract details] carefully until the end. All important information regarding monthly fee calculation, internet connection, contract termination, etc. is clearly stated on this page. Please understand and agree to our terms of service before applying.
・Check the [I agree with this contract] box then click on the [Apply] button to complete the online contract setting using the JP SMART SIM service.
STEP 7: CONFIRM the EMAIL [Important - Contract Confirmation and How to Pickup SIM]
After completing the six steps of the online application, you will receive an email notification confirming the initial payment and will be redirected to the MYPAGE (for JP SMART SIM users). You can view your current application status online but your phone number doesn't show up yet at this point.
After verifying your ID, you will receive an email notification confirming your contract and your phone number will show up on the MYPAGE > [ the details of contract ].
